Ken retired in June 2013 from Coherent, Inc., as Corporate Director of Environmental Health and Safety for Worldwide Operations. During the past 30 years Ken has held a number of Corporate Director and Vice-President level positions in hi-tech, agricultural and pharmaceutical industries, as well as Director of Environmental Health for Tuolumne County Environmental Health agency.
Ken has a Master’s Degree in Health Administration and a Master's Degree in Environmental Health Sciences; and a BS Degree in Biology - from California State University at Fresno and Bakersfield. Ken recently worked in Chiang Saen, Thailand on fund raising and educational ideas involving elephant conservation.
Ken and Bev has also established the "Shane and Perkins Charitable Fund" in which financial grants are awarded to local non-profits in Tuolumne County and the City of Sonora.
After 36 years with the Tuolumne County, California, Bev Shane retired in January 2017 as Director of the Community Resources Agency. Bev was appointed by the Board of Supervisors and was responsible for managing a staff of 80 employees in 12 Divisions – Building and Safety, Environmental Health, Planning, Housing, Engineering, Surveying, Geographic Information Systems, Solid Waste Fleet Services, Business, Clerical, and Road Maintenance.
Bev holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from California State University, Stanislaus and a Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law. Bev is licensed to practice law in the State of California and is a member of the California Bar Association and American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
Johanna Villa - Student Fund Advisor
Johanna currently lives in Darmstadt, Germany where she is a graduate from Edith-Stein-Schule school. During her 2014 junior year, Johanna was a full-time exchange student at Sonora High School in Sonora, California, where she traveled extensively within the United States - visiting places like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Oahu and New York City.
Johanna joined The AP Fund as a Student Fund Advisor in 2015. Johanna has assisted in helping keep the website up-to-date. Serving as the Student Fund Advisor will not only help Johanna develop skills in professionalism, but will also give her experience in writing content for blogs, brainstorming communication outreach ideas and creating social media content. Lastly, the position will allow for learning more about the philanthropic sector of society.
She will be attending college in Sweden in 2018, unless she takes a year off and travels the world.
